Unwind from a beautiful day spent in Hawaii nei in this lovely one-bedroom apartment in Waikiki Skytower building, right off of Kuhio Ave. Our guests enjoy fantastic building amenities, including an incredible sun deck with a heated swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and BBQ area, as well as easy access to Waikiki’s plentiful restaurants, shops, nightlife, and activities. This property also offers one assigned parking stall, AC, WIFI, and cable.

This apartment is a one-bedroom with a king bed (sleeps 2), sofa bed (sleeps 1-2), full kitchen, dining for 4, private lanai, and full bath with tub/shower. Sleeps 3 guests comfortably, 4 guests max, and is located on the 11th floor. Elevators are available.

*Please note that this is a 30-day minimum rental, no switching of guests is allowed.

    First, this is the third time we have rented an apartment in Waikiki Skytower, so we thought we knew what to expect. However, we were dismayed to see two almost threadbare towels, hand towels, facewashers on the towel rail. No other towels evident, including beach towels. No slip mat for the bath/shower, no bath mat, shower curtain liner mouldy. In the kitchen, no dish rack, dish cloths, tea towels, oven mitts, tongs. The stove top had not been cleaned, and the cupboard below the sink was full of black mould. There was no iron, no ironing board. The windows were filthy, and the lighting was below standard. There was just one key. Once we were able to clean the flat, secure another key, get the leak under the sink fixed, and work out how to clean the windows, we felt a lot better about the unit. We found the towels the following day stuffed into the dryer, still damp and smelly. But of course, we had purchased new ones in the meantime. The unit is in a great location, which is why we opted to return to Waikiki Skytower. It was just unfortunate that this unit was not up to the same standard as the others we have rented in previous years.
    Furnishings were basic, but the bed mattress was very comfortable. The mattress protector was full of yellow stains, which was quite a shock since we did not see that until we changed the sheets a few days later. Actually, I was quite sickened by that as I had assumed they would be changed with each tenant.
    The kitchen benches are cluttered with too many appliances, which should be in a cupboard so that the renter can select what they want to use to better utilise the limited bench space. We were there for a month. After cleaning the unit and making it comfortable for us, we settled in and enjoyed our stay. Even the enclosed lanai was a bonus as it provided a good area for drying our clothes. I suggest that the cleaning fee paid by the renter be used and the unit inspected before new tenants move in.
